The Ethiopian Space Science Society has been hosting several public science lectures for its members and the general community for a while. This lecture mainly focuses on promoting space science and its several disciplines and showcases the several types of Space related research in Ethiopia.

The 2022 Summer Public Lecture Series was in many ways an official rebranding of the program as a recurring event. At this event which was hosted on August 20th, September 4th, and September 5th, 2022 at AAiT, several researchers from local institutes such as SSGI, AAU AAiT, and Kotebe Education College and also researchers from abroad participated. Given current trends in events, the public lecture series was a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual attendees on the society’s YouTube channel. An average of 200 audiences participated in this event both in person and virtually.
